Birthday Card with Stamp of the Month

I have a cousin with an upcoming birthday (you can probably tell from the card it's November 14) and I just love how well the Typeset paper coordinates with the Stamp of the Month for November, Cherish the Day. The foundry pin clips and milepost shapes complemented the theme well.

This is an inside view of the card; using the My Acrylix Card Chatter-Birthday stamp set.

These beautiful blocks were made using the Dreamin' paper packet and vinyl lettering over painted wood blocks. They look great as a home decor item and would also be a lovely gift!

Christmas Countdown Box

This is a Christmas Countdown box I designed using the new Believe paper and My Acrylix Countdown stamp set. It was so much fun, and easy too! Following the pictures are the recipe and instructions to make your own.

Recipe for Christmas Countdown box (with item numbers):
My Creations Memory Game (Z1614)
Believe B&T paper (X7145B)
White Daisy CS (1385)
My Acrylix Countdown (B1390)
Dimensional Elements Stars (Z1680)
Clear Sparkles (Z1104)
Holiday Red stamp pad (Z2127)
Topiary stamp pad (Z2155)
Cocoa stamp pad (Z2114)
1-1/4" Circle Punch (Z1311)

Instructions to assemble Christmas Countdown box:

1. Sponge edges of outside of box with ink.
2. Glue Believe paper onto outside of box following cutting dimensions from last post.
3. Sponge ink onto Dimensional Element stars and place Sparkles where desired. Attach stars to box using 3D foam tape.
4. Glue 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" paper onto cards.
5. Punch out 25 White Daisy circles using the 1-1/4" circle punch.
6. Stamp circles using the Countdown stamp set. Stamp numbers 1 through 24 with Cocoa ink on 24 of the circles and stamp the remaining circle for the outside of box as desired. Attach stamped Christmas Countdown circle to front flap with 3D tape.
7. Stamp on 2" x 1-1/2" activity cardstock cards as desired.
8. Stamp on numbered circles as desired.
9. Glue paper activity cards and stamped numbered circles onto cards.
10. Sponge edges of cards with ink.

My Creations Memory Game

I just love the endless possibilities of the blank canvas of the new My Creations Memory Game!
Make your own following these cutting directions:

Instructions for cutting paper to cover My Creations Memory Game box and cards:(Using two 12x12 B&T papers)

For the first B&T:
1. Cut two 3-1/8" strips from your 12x12 B&T
2. Cut one strip at 3-1/2", 3-1/2", 3-1/8 and 1-3/4" (these will be the sides, front, and flap)
3. Cut second strip at 3-1/2" and 3-1/8" (these will be for the top and back)
4. These pieces will cover your box (and you will have a piece of scrap)
Sides: 3-1/8" x 3-1/2"
Top: 3-1/8" x 3-1/2"
Back: 3-1/8" x 3-1/8"
Front: 3-1/8" x 3-1/8" (trimmed to fit)
Flap: 3-1/8" x 1-3/4" (trimmed to fit)
5. Cut them remaining B&T in half (you will have two strips 2-7/8" wide)
6. Cut these strips into 2-7/8" x 2-7/8" squares (you should have 8 squares to cover the inside cards with)
Note: I found this size to be the most economical with the paper and fits nicely on the cards. However you do end up with a bit of white around the edges which I just sponged to soften the transition from the paper to the white chipboard.

For the second B&T:
1. Cut into 2-7/8" strips
2. Cut these strips into 2-7/8" squares (you should have the remaining 16 squares to cover the inside cards)

Waterfall Card Instructions

Supplies:
Neutral Colored Cardstock (Colonial White)
Colored Cardstock (Cocoa, Pacifica)
B&T (Background and Texture) Paper (Dreamin')
Assorted Stamps and Ink (Harvest Happiness) (Goldrush, Chocolate, Honey, Pacifica)
Paper Trimmer with a scoring blade OR Ruler and Bone Folder
Piercing Tool Kit
Brads
Ribbon
Scissors
Adhesive (glue stick and Tombow or other roller adhesive)
Cut Paper Sizes:
Neutral Cardstock: (1) 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", (4) 1-7/8" x 1-7/8"
Colored Cardstock: (4) 2" x 2", (1) 3/4" x 4-1/4"
Colored Cardstock: (1) 9" x 2"
B&T Paper: (1) 5" x 3-3/4"

Step-by-step Instructions:
1)     Fold the 5 1/2" x 8-1/2" neutral cardstock in half to form card base.

2)     Attach the B&T paper onto front of card.

3)     Stamp on the four 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" neutral cardstock squares.

4)     Mount neutral cardstock squares onto the four 2" x 2" colored cardstock squares.

5)     Score the 9" x 2" colored cardstock strip with scoring blade or bone folder and fold along scored lines.
Start at the end of the strip and score at 2", 2-3/4", 3-1/2", and 4-1/4".

6)     Position 3/4" x 4-1/4" colored cardstock strip to the front of the folded cardstock base one inch from the bottom. Glue down ends and fix in place with brads. This will be the horizontal strip.

7)     Slide long side of scored strip under the horizontal strip. This piece will be vertical. Use roller adhesive to attach back of short end of scored strip to front of horizontal strip. The roller adhesive will ensure a strong hold.

8)     Attach first image (will be the last image of the waterfall card after assembled) at the bottom of the vertical strip.

9)     Attach next image by applying glue only to the area under the second scored line.

10)      Attach the other two images.

11)     Pierce a hole on the bottom of the longer end the vertical strip and attach ribbon with brad.

12)     When you pull the ribbon, your images should “flip.”

Good luck!

First gathering card!

My first gathering was in June and this is the cute card we made. It uses the Lucky Paper and the My Acrylix Enjoy Life stamp set. A wood button is used to embellish. The brown trim is actually a Kraft Color-Ready Border; an adhesive backed border that is precut. What a time saver! They come in a package of 50 assorted at a great price!

A Rosy Card

This card uses a stamped, adhesive backed, canvas button that can be purchased on my website: allieweston.myctmh.com. And the rose is from the My Acrylix Rosy Regards stamp set. The rose has been stamped twice and then cut to give some dimention to the flower. The second rose was cut smaller and applied directly on top of the first with foam tape.
